Red Phone:
The letters and spiral are focused in the depth (foreground) of the photo
The focal point moves from the side of the phone into the blurred depthed background
The white balance was set to lean towards cloudy setting to work with the ISO on 400
I adjusted the hue and saturation to offset the yellow tint of the lighting and table
The photo was based on a memory of when I used to play with my uncle’s rotary phone he had at his beach house
Flower:
The focal point or focus of the image is the flowers and the detailing on them
The iso I used was 160 to work with the sunny day
The blur of the background creates shadows and highlights to enhance the overall image
The shutter speed was 1/60 (fast) to catch the flower in its position
The image is compelling because of the detailing of the flower
Dice:
The shutter speed was set at 1/800 (fast) to catch the image of the items falling into the water
I put the iso on 2000 to work with the lights and create shadows
The rule of thirds is used - the third ends up on a ball or the side of the jar
The black and white was used to create a pop in the background
The suprise was you dont know when or how many items would fall in the water
